Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean your YPN has to cool down. Here are five ideas from YPN groups around the country for fun end-of-summer events, activities, and mixers.
1. Go out swinging.
The Greater San Antonio YPN hosted its most recent mixer at Topgolf. Combining networking with outdoor activities is never a bad idea, especially if it’s feasible for a broad skill set. Notice this YPN group’s use of video marketing to promo their upcoming September event.
We had a great time at @topgolfsat! Join us on September 18 for another networking mixer at Hills & Dales Ice House. More info: https://t.co/h6gs7S0rXv #YPN #SABOR #RealtorLife pic.twitter.com/ExP4q39SJg

2. (End of) summer bash.
The Tri-Counties Association of REALTORS® YPN in California hosted it’s summer bash this week at a rooftop bar in Anaheim, offering food and drinks for a $20 admission. Proceeds from the event were contributed to REALTORS® affected by wildfires in Paradise, Calif. Now is the perfect time to plan your group’s end of summer or fall kickoff bash.

3. Be community minded.
Because August was the California Association of REALTORS® Month of Giving, YPN groups around the state held fundraising events for local charities. But you don’t need a statewide effort to come up with your own community-focused YPN event. In addition to raising money, the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® YPN has rallied volunteers to serve dinner at LifeMoves, an organization helping homeless families and individuals regain self-sufficiency and find stable housing.
1 week left in #MonthofGiving — we’re counting on YOU to help #SAMCARYPN support @LifeMovesOrg Please make a donation at https://t.co/hMbiXN5jy8 / sign-up to #volunteer w/ @NestorIcaza pic.twitter.com/UkpnLmOCT2

4. Back to school drive.
Though many schools districts are already back in session, it’s never too late for a school drive. Classrooms are in need of resources, so reach out to your local district to see what they could use most. Then build an event around that.
5. Advocate for involvement.
Many young or newer members might not know much about your local association outside of YPN. Invite them to learn more through a YPN sponsored event that covers the various committees, benefits of involvement, and how to apply—just as the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee YPN did at their August event. This is a timely event idea because local committee application deadlines are approaching.
