YPN’s trajectory continues with forward momentum gained in 2023 despite a challenging market and industry unknowns. At this year’s NAR NXT conference in Anaheim, Calif., the advisory board reported growth in the number of members and networks, as well as increased engagement in advocacy. The board reported 14 new networks established and seven networks that had previously gone stagnant have been revitalized.
The board also noted that their travel stipend for the year had not yet been exhausted, so there was still time and resources to bring a board member to a network for training, education or general assistance.
The YPN Advisory Board is unique in that members travel all across the country to help NAR’s young professionals hone their skills, grow their networks and step into leadership positions. The board is ripe with talent and thanks to a generous stipend afforded the board, networks across the country can bring an advisory board member to their group for support.
Whether it’s figuring out how to market yourself as a new agent, navigate work-life balance, leverage connections or get people to show up to your YPN event, there’s a lot to learn in the world of real estate. The good news is, YPN members don’t have to do it alone. Each advisory board member specializes in a different aspect of the business–from networking and leadership to business planning and social media—and if a network is struggling in one of those areas or has an event planned and needs a speaker, they can invite a board member to their network for assistance, training or support. Virtual is also an option.
This is one of the board’s favorite responsibilities and YPN networks who have invited board members note how beneficial the interaction was for their members.
There’s still time to have a board member visit your YPN. Simply take a look at the advisory board and their individual areas of expertise, select a member and reach out to learn more about their availability.
