More than 600 YPNers from across North America took over Parq Restaurant & Nightclub in San Diego Friday night to make business connections and celebrate achievements.
Four YPN groups received honors during the Network of the Year Awards (NOTY) presentation.
The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS®’ Young Council of REALTORS®, established in 1971, was named the Small NOTY. They are known for their robust fund-raising efforts, including their annual charity golf tournament.
The Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® YPN, established in 2009, received the Medium NOTY. Local members look forward to their annual tailgate at the Keeneland Thoroughbred Racecourse.
The Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® YPN, formed in 2010, was awarded the Large NOTY award. The group draws more than 300 guests to its annual 40 Under 40 awards event, and supports St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, which provides housing for at-risk or abused children.
The State NOTY was awarded to the Missouri Association of REALTORS® YPN. The group runs a scholarship program that helps new agents attend the Missouri REALTORS® business conference. Leadership is a cornerstone of the group: YPN Vice Chair Nate Johnson was elected treasurer of the Missouri REALTORS® this year.
Bobbi Howe, 2015 chair of the YPN Advisory Council, cofounded the Missouri YPN in 2009. In the video below, she recounts her reaction to Missouri’s win, and reflects on how far YPN has come over the past six years.
