It’s not too late to plan your YPN’s holiday or New Year’s event. From business-building strategies to supporting community organizations, here are five compelling ideas from YPN groups around the country. (Bonus: They’re COVID-safe, too.)
1. Put 2020 in the Rearview Mirror
To help REALTORS® start off the New Year on the right foot, the North Central Jersey Association of REALTORS® YPN is offering a virtual 2021 business planning event with real estate coach Jared James, free for NCJAR members.

2. Bring Children Holiday Cheer
The New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® is hosting its annual toy drive for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana. This year, they’ve made it a contactless drive, collecting toys via the organization’s Amazon Wishlist so that the gifts will be delivered directly to the club.
It’s that time of year for NOMAR YPN’s annual Toy Drive for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana! We will be collecting toys via Amazon Wishlist that will be delivered directly to the club. #WhoWeR https://t.co/Rhcn1XB4RI pic.twitter.com/DCXrW0DMuO

3. Movies and Merriment
The Naples Area Board of REALTORS® YPN is hosting the perfect movie event for the season—Elf. Popcorn and soft drinks are included and a food truck will be on site. The outdoor lawn showing for members and their families will support a good cause. The $10 admission and unwrapped toy donations will benefit Valerie’s House SWFL, which provides support for children who’ve lost a parent or sibling.
Join YPN for a good cause and some holiday fun. Admission is a brand new unwrapped toy for Valerie’s House SWFL, or $10 (All monies collected from the event will then be used to purchase additional gifts for the toy drive). Reserve your spot here: https://t.co/pTDxIKEPcx pic.twitter.com/dtoLNLLGqY

4. Virtual Secret Santas
The Fredericksburg Area Association of REALTORS® is taking their white elephant/secret Santa gift exchange virtual. Members will drop off their gifts at the association and pick up one to receive, then they’ll open live at their holiday event on Zoom.
Channel holiday cheer with the YPN gift swap! RSVP by 12/8, drop off a gift to FAAR by 12/14, then open your gift live at our holiday event on Zoom! It’s fa-la-la-la-Fun! 5. Prospects on the Horizon
A city planners panel, offering a future outlook on development, was recently held by the California Desert Association of REALTOS® YPN. Members were able to hear from city planners and development directors while gaining greater insight into their market. A fitting virtual event to kick off a new year.
