Out here in Colorado, REALTORS® are pretty excited about YPN – so excited, in fact, that we want to shout it from the rooftops! But we’ll settle for shouting it from our smartphones.

This is what we’re coining #Y4YPN. We are producing video clips in the hope they’ll catch on and other YPNers from across the nation will jump up and down to participate, too.

The #Y4YPN is just that – your passion. And we want to hear from you. What drives you get involved with the REALTOR® organization? How are you building up the reputation of young real estate professionals? Tell us what you love about YPN, whether it’s business development, leadership opportunities, or friendships. What motivates you to volunteer your time for YPN?

Over the coming months, we will be featuring your #Y4YPN videos right here on the YPN Lounge. My hope is that when we meet at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego next month, you will enthusiastically ask me to video tape you for a 10-15 second segment detailing your #Y4YPN. However, I realize that not everyone is going to be able to come to the conference this year. So in order to maximize participation, I encourage you to whip out your smartphones to record your 15-second clip. Remember, it is ideal to hold the camera/smartphone horizontally when shooting.

At the end of the coming year, my goal is to edit these videos together into a complete video presentation. If you film your own #Y4YPN videos, e-mail me the file at leanne@trailridge.co to include it in our video compilation.

Our #Y4YPN kickoff video comes from Cassidy Kahn. She got her start in real estate working for one of the largest teams in Boulder, Colo. This gave her a deep understanding of transaction management and how to generate business. Now in her second year in the business, she works as an independent agent with RE/MAX of Boulder. She is 27 years old and a second generation native to Boulder. She says her experience with YPN has given her the confidence and skillset to conquer the Boulder real estate market as one of the youngest up and coming agents in town.

Leanne Goff is a managing broker with TrailRidge Realty, an independent real estate agency in Boulder, Colo. She has been licensed since 2008, and is active with the Boulder Area REALTOR® Association. Her work with BARA’s YPN led to achieving NAR’s Small Network of the Year Award in 2014.
